It seems they are dumbing it down for the audience of Hells Kitchen and Food networks next food star crapapalooza. I really think fabio should start referring to himself in the 3rd person when talking , think about it :)

I live in detroit & feel like these chefs work at every shitty suburban restaurant here making boring food.

I wanna like Gene, but everything he cooks seems weird & not the good kind. Michelle Berstein is also a tool. Stefan or Fabio will win.

They should get the chick from The Redhead pub in ny who makes the bacon peanut brittle on the the show!

Why not just throw all caution and self-respect to the winds and get Jennifer Anniston or some other People Mag head of hair on the tasting panel. Kills me that the competing chefs were so awed by Ms. Stewart. The quickfire challenge shoul;d have been “minimum security prison lunch, that could be be consumed with no eating utensils” Perhaps “Gruel with Chanterelles”

this season of TC is weak. last year’s group was so much more interesting.

Finally, someone…in this case Tom Collichio, laid the issue squarely on the table….the show sucks because no one is cooking anything truly interesting or doing it particularly well.

These folks as well as the production crew ought to sit down and read Michael Ruhlman’s “The Soul of a Chef”.
