Bites: News and Miscellany

The Marky B from Jerry’s

Now the hipster mafia doesn’t have to leave Wicker Park/Ukie village to score a great sandwich. Just throw on a hoodie and stroll on over to Division and Damen, where Jerry’s, our favorite west loop sandwich spot is opening a second location at 1938 W. Division in early June.

According to the release: The new Jerry’s will feature a more sophisticated design by noted interior designer Deanna Berman, and will include a fireplace and a lounge. The new Jerry’s will also offer greater seating (approximately 80 indoor, 40 outdoor), wait-service, a full bar, and a fuller sound system. The centerpiece of the bar will be a collection of approximately 100 American craft beers, both bottled and draft.

The menu will also see the addition of 5 different burgers (beef, pork, turkey, salmon, and veggie), a fish sandwich of the day, fries, and homemade seasoned chips. A plated dessert menu will feature fresh pies and Scooter’s custard, among other items.

If you’ve never had the good fortune to score a Jerry’s sandwich, read our review of the original location
